A.R.E. 3/4 Ready Course

July 5 -  September 13, 2008
Columbia University
New York City, NY

The Funkaar Studios Architect Registration Exam (A.R.E.) Ready Course is typically an (9) week course designed as a complete preparation package. The course offers a step-by-step approach for exam preparation. Sessions are sequenced in a progressive manner to guide students in the ARE process. This course is ideal for students seeking steady guidance in passing the exams. Lecture covers key ARE content and answering strategies. Students will be provided a Study Methodology with Syllabus, exam breakdown, daily study routine and a recommended timeline to take ONE exam per week for students who are interested in the challenge.

Unlike other seminar style classes, ARE READY Course is a cohesive college-level type course taught by a single instructor who has passed the entire computerized ARE. Each class covers (1) exam. **General Structures and Mechanical are covered in (2-3) sessions due to the amount of material.

Please note that you need to bring a PC laptop to class where indicated (Mac with parallel windows can work with NCARB Practice Programs). If you experience glitches, try adjusting your screen display setting or reinstall program A laptop is recommended for effective learning. If you do not own a laptop, try borrowing one from work, family or friend. Please bring trace, architectural scale and pencil if you do not bring a laptop.
