IDPCC Selects Three Priorities for IDP Evaluation in 2005-2006
Friday, October 28, 2005

The IDPCC met October 14 and 15 in Baltimore, MD for its first of two annual meetings. The Committee is comprised of representatives from AIA, NCARB, ACSA, AIAS, NAC, CACE, SDA, MBE, and an at large intern. The focus of the meeting was to prepare specific recommendations for IDP elements in need of evaluation by NCARB and AIA.

The Committee utilized the data from the 2005 Internship and Career Survey and the 2005 Internship Conference to inform its review of the 2005 IDP Final Evaluation Report. Fifteen priority program elements were carefully reviewed. The Committee selected three top priorities for action this year.

The top three elements address: the NCARB National Office; the Mentor; and, the IDP Core Competencies. Work plans for conducting each evaluation were developed and will be presented to the AIA and NCARB Board of Directors. Work is expected to begin upon AIA and NCARB approval.
