WHO: The American Institute of Architects Diversity Recognition Program

WHAT: The program seeks exemplary efforts to diversify the architecture profession. The jury will select up to 12 submissions each year as diversity best practices meriting the following recognition:

• Profiles in AIArchitect and on the AIA Diversity Web page
• Inclusion in the AIA Best Practices library on Soloso and aia.org
• Acknowledgment at AIA National Convention events, including the GLBT Reception, Minority Fellows Reception, and Women in Architecture dinner
• Commemoration in a Celebration of Diversity in Architecture poster

WHEN: The AIA must receive all submissions by September 15, 2008

HOW: Electronic submissions are preferred and should be sent todiversity@aia.org. Send hard-copy submissions to Yvette Morris, Manager, Diversity, The American Institute of Architects, 1735 New York Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20006. All proposals also must include a signed waiver/release form.
